George was in town today for book signings and radio show interviews and stopped in to visit us!

Tom got to show off his sculpts to Geoge in person and discuss ideas for upcoming minis. He also had time to have a cup of tea with us and see a bit of our house and our operation.

It was very exciting for me since I am a huge fan of his books. Luckily for Tom and George, I had Theo (our 2 year old) to watch so I couldn't hang about and bother them Smile George is extremely nice and pleasant in person and even brought Tom and me Targaryen Dragon t-shirts (and I got an extra Stark t-shirt to wear in a larger size while I am pregnant) Smile
I am a very happy camper !

Here is a picture of Tom and George together

Tom, Carin, I just wanted to drop by and thank you for your hospitality the day I visited the farm. I had a great time, and only wish my schedule had been flexible enough to allow me to spend more time with you guys. I love what Tom is doing with the Ice & Fire miniatures for Testor's, and it was real thrill to see his workshop.

And thanks as well for all the loot you gave me! I'll send you pix when I get some of the minis painted up.

Our pleasure, stop by any time you’re in town, if it’s summer we’ll load you up with vegetables.

Did you get the pictures of the heads I sent, I know you get a lot of e-mail and messages with attachments frequently get dumped by mail sorting programs. I also wanted to ask a few questions about Ser Loras.

I’ll send you a metal copy of Ruby Ford as soon as I get another one made up.

Man oh man... I _really_ need to learn how to put miniatures together, now. I think a mini of the Knight of Flowers is the one I've been most hoping for (well, that and one of Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning) <nudges The Powers that Be>).

Really looking forward to seeing this figure down the line, in any case. Will it be a stand-alone figure, or part of a set? If a set, I'd suppose Gregor Clegane, Brienne of Tarth, or Renly Baratheon would be the likely second subject...
